What You'll Be Doing - Performing thorough patient assessments, approving diagnostic tests, and creating tailored care plans
- Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, and episodic illnesses, working alongside physicians as needed or independently based on credentials
- Providing education to patients and families about prevention, wellness strategies, and chronic disease management
- Prescribing necessary medications and therapies within your scope of practice
- Engaging in patient follow-ups and managing chronic conditions
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care
- Accurately documenting all patient interactions in electronic medical record systems (EMR)
Education Requirements - Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Graduation from a recognized Nurse Practitioner program
Required Certifications - Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Florida
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or a similar equivalent
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to secure them within 90 days)
