Mercier Consultancy MD is seeking a proactive German Social Media Content Moderator to join our team in Athens. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing user-generated content across various social media platforms, ensuring that interactions are respectful and aligned with community standards. This position is crucial in maintaining a positive and engaging online community for our German-speaking users. Key Responsibilities Moderate and review social media content in German to ensure compliance with established community guidelines. Engage with users by answering comments and messages in a timely and professional manner. Identify and escape inappropriate content or user behavior to relevant teams. Monitor content trends and user interactions to provide valuable insights that enhance moderation practices. Collaborate with social media and marketing teams to improve content strategies and community engagement efforts. Stay updated on emerging trends in social media and best practices in content moderation. Qualifications Fluency in German (written and spoken) is essential; proficiency in English is a plus. Experience in social media moderation or community management is preferred. Strong understanding of various social media platforms and their community standards. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to address and manage sensitive situations successfully. Self‑motivated and capable of working independently, while also collaborating effectively within a team. Attention to detail with the capability to evaluate content quickly and accurately. Familiarity with social media management tools and basic computer applications is a plus.
