Position: Mental Health Technician (MHT)

Location: Ford City, PA

Schedule: full time - 3x12s - rotating weekends

Pay: $17-20/hr



Position Summary:
This role involves providing direct patient care within a residential mental health treatment facility, maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment, and assisting with the implementation of treatment plans. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, patient, and able to handle challenging situations with professionalism and empathy.

Responsibilities:

• Provide supervision and support to clients during daily routines and programming
• Assist in maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment for all clients
• Document client behavior, interventions, and incidents accurately and promptly
• Escort clients to appointments or off-site activities as needed
• Communicate client observations to clinical and nursing staff
• Model appropriate behavior and reinforce positive coping skills

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• Valid Driver's License (required)
• 6+ months experience in a mental health or related setting
• Ability to remain calm in high-stress situations and respond effectively to crises
• Strong communication and observation skills
