This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shifts vary between 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM and 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday through Thursday and Friday.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist for our Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) unit. The ideal candidate will exhibit teamwork, advanced sterile techniques, and proactive planning to ensure a successful surgical environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in open heart procedures, including CABG, MVR, TVR, AVR, VATS, and vascular procedures.


• Set up and operate specialized equipment such as Belmont, cell saver, and other positioning equipment.


• Ensure room turnover efficiency, including obtaining disposables and instrument sets as needed.


• Maintain excellent communication with patients and the surgical team to problem-solve effectively.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current BLS certification required; CNOR preferred.


• Experience in scrub or circulate procedures, sterile technique, central line setup, and arterial line setup.


• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to proactively identify potential issues.
